One of the weekly events Cile and I look most forward to is Sunday night. That’s when Phil, Jr., Daphne, Beau, Norah Jane and George come over and we either grill out or cook something good for supper. We are truly blessed beyond belief to have our sons, daughter in law and grandkids. In the same town as us. I hope we never take that for granted.
You know, everyone is busy. Not just our family but yours too I am sure. Having this dedicated time for us to break bread and visit as a family is so valuable. As my grandmother Mommy used to say, “I wouldn’t take a pretty penny for it.”
How many times do we say to each other or to family that we need to get together soon? Does it happen? Probably not. But what you can do is set a date and time and say OK, lets get together and this is what we will do.
I guess my point in all this is, take the time to visit and enjoy your family and friends. Life really is too short not to. You may not do something once a week or once a month but try to set up some sort of routine. You won’t regret it.
