I must admit when my team at Premier Properties of Dublin made me—sorry maybe I should say encouraged me to start a weekly blog I was hesitant, to say the least. Now though, I really kind of (with a capital K) look forward to it.
Today I want to write about living and working in downtown Dublin. Now first you must understand, I was raised on 300 plus acres with access to 1000 more between family and friends. The idea that I would enjoy living in any city limits, much less a 1400 sq ft condo in a downtown would seem very unlikely wouldn’t you say? Well I do, and I love it!
My wife Cile was raised in “town” in McRae GA. I was raised in the country in McRae. Well when we got married we discussed the option of town vs country and after we did this for about an hour, SHE decided we would live in town. Notice that was not we. So, after 37 years of marriage, we have always lived in “town”.
Going on 5 years ago the opportunity arose more out of necessity than preference, that we sell our house in Fox Ridge. That is when we made our move to downtown Dublin. Neither of us have regretted it a day.
It is a great feeling to see all the activities surrounding us. From events at the Market, Theater, The Carnegie, The Plaza, Founder’s Park and just the streets in general.
The number of loft apartments have over doubled in that period of time. There have been several restaurants added to the already great ones here. The entertainment at all the venues continue to grow in numbers and quality.
I guess by now, you may see why we like living downtown. And oh yea, by the way, both City Hall and Premier Properties office are less than two blocks away.
If you think downtown living or working may be for you, come by and talk to any of us at Premier Properties of Dublin and let us tell you about some options we may have for you. We would love to have you!

😃👍
Phil,
If I remember correctly when you and Cile were first married and moved into the big city of McRae you lived at 715 College Street in my grandmothers home built over 100 years ago. It was approximately 800 sq feet so your condo now is about twice as big.
Enjoy your blogs,
